About us

Our mission
The Greener.Land tool was born out of the desire to spread awareness of landscape degradation and induce action. This free resource aims to provide education, resources, and inspiration through stories on landscape restoration. Our mission is to offer a tool that helps you choose the most suitable method for restoring your land, all while contributing to biodiversity, livelihoods, and resilience to climate change.
Organisation
The vision of Greener.Land is simple: we want to create a greener world where information on landscape restoration is accessible to all and everyone can be empowered to play an active role in bringing life back to their lands.
Greener.Land offers you an overview of interventions to restore your landscape according to the specific land use and environmental conditions of your area. Using filters such as aridity, land slope, and budget, you can identify suitable interventions for within your own landscape that can help to revitalise the health of your lands, soils, and local ecosystems.
Nature^Squared

They are driven and pragmatic in their work towards realizing a planet Earth which has clean water, clean air, a stable climate, healthy soil and, especially, a high level of biodiversity.
Justdiggit
makes dry land green again by inspiring and activating farmers, positively impacting climate change, nature, and people. Degraded landscapes are restored by combining traditional techniques with new technology and a strong communication approach.
SamSamWater
aims to increase the number of people in developing countries with sustainable and reliable access to water and sanitation. They support water and sanitation projects with information, technical advice, and tools.
Otter Fonds
The Greener.Land tool is funded by the Otter Fonds, which supports non-profit organisations with community-led restoration and protection of biodiverse ecosystems whilst crafting a sustainable future based on ecological and cultural values.
